This simple, distraction-free app lets your little one tap anywhere on the screen to hear a letter, number, color, or shape spoken aloud, while the background changes to match. There are four invisible tap zones, one in each corner of the screen:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n  <li><strong>Top-left \u2014 Colors:<\/strong> Tap to cycle through color names (Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, Purple, Brown, Orange). The background changes to match.<\/li>\n  <li><strong>Top-right \u2014 Letters:<\/strong> Tap to cycle through the alphabet (A\u2013Z), with each letter spoken aloud.<\/li>\n  <li><strong>Bottom-left \u2014 Numbers:<\/strong> Tap to cycle through the numbers 1 through 10.<\/li>\n  <li><strong>Bottom-right \u2014 Objects:<\/strong> Tap to cycle through simple shapes and symbols.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Each tap plays the matching sound, displays the item, and changes the background color. Every few taps, your device will give a gentle haptic vibration for extra feedback.<\/p>\n\n<p>The corner labels (&#8220;Colors,&#8221; &#8220;Letters,&#8221; &#8220;Numbers,&#8221; &#8220;Objects&#8221;) are shown in small gray text so you, the parent, can see them \u2014 but they fade into the background so your child isn&#8217;t distracted.<\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"troubleshooting\">Troubleshooting<\/h2>\n\n<h3>No Sound Is Playing<\/h3>\n\n<p>If you tap the screen and nothing is heard:<\/p>\n\n<ol>\n  <li>Check the silent \/ ring switch. On iPhone, flip the side switch so the orange line is not showing. Smart Baby uses standard playback, so the ringer must be on.<\/li>\n  <li>Turn the volume up. Use the physical volume buttons on the side of your device while the app is open. You should see the volume indicator appear at the top of the screen.<\/li>\n  <li>Check that nothing else is using audio. If you have a phone call, FaceTime, or another media app active, audio routing can get interrupted. Close other audio apps and reopen Smart Baby.<\/li>\n  <li>Disconnect Bluetooth audio. If your iPhone or iPad is paired with AirPods, a car stereo, or a Bluetooth speaker, sound will route there instead of the device speaker. Disconnect or move out of range.<\/li>\n  <li>Restart the app. Swipe up from the bottom (or double-press Home) to bring up the app switcher, swipe Smart Baby away, then reopen it.<\/li>\n  <li>Restart the device. A full restart resolves the vast majority of audio issues on iOS.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<h3>The Background Color Doesn&#8217;t Change<\/h3>\n\n<p>Make sure you&#8217;re tapping in one of the four corners. The center area shows the current item, but only the corner zones respond to taps. If touch isn&#8217;t responding at all, remove any screen protector or case that might cover the edges, and clean the screen with a dry cloth.<\/p>\n\n<h3>The Screen Shows &#8220;Smartbaby&#8221; and Won&#8217;t Update<\/h3>\n\n<p>That&#8217;s the welcome state shown when you first launch the app. Tap any corner of the screen to begin \u2014 the welcome text will be replaced immediately.<\/p>\n\n<h3>The Letter or Number Looks Tiny<\/h3>\n\n<p>The text is designed to scale to fit the screen. If a letter looks unusually small for a split second, that&#8217;s just the resize animation. It should snap to full size right away. If it stays small, force-quit and reopen the app.<\/p>\n\n<h3>The App Quit on Its Own<\/h3>\n\n<p>Smart Baby is lightweight and shouldn&#8217;t crash on supported devices. If it does:<\/p>\n\n<ol>\n  <li>Make sure your device is running the latest version of iOS \/ iPadOS.<\/li>\n  <li>Update Smart Baby to the latest version from the App Store.<\/li>\n  <li>Restart your device.<\/li>\n  <li>If the problem continues, please email support and let us know the device model and iOS version.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<h3>My Child Keeps Triggering the Home Bar \/ Control Center<\/h3>\n\n<p>Smart Baby hides the system overlays while the app is in use, but your device&#8217;s gesture areas are still active. To prevent your child from exiting the app accidentally, use Guided Access:<\/p>\n\n<ol>\n  <li>Open the Settings app on your device.<\/li>\n  <li>Go to Accessibility \u2192 Guided Access and turn it on.<\/li>\n  <li>Set a passcode you&#8217;ll remember.<\/li>\n  <li>Open Smart Baby, then triple-click the side button (or Home button) to start a Guided Access session.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>This locks the device to Smart Baby until you triple-click again and enter your passcode \u2014 perfect for handing the phone to a toddler.<\/p>\n\n<h3>Sounds Play Late or Cut Off<\/h3>\n\n<p>This can happen if your device is low on memory or running many apps in the background. Close other apps from the app switcher and try again. A device restart will fully clear memory.<\/p>\n\n<h3>The App Doesn&#8217;t Vibrate<\/h3>\n\n<p>Haptic vibration is triggered every few taps, not on every tap. If you never feel a vibration:<\/p>\n\n<ol>\n  <li>Open Settings \u2192 Sounds &amp; Haptics and make sure System Haptics is turned on.<\/li>\n  <li>Note that older iPads do not have a haptic engine and will not vibrate \u2014 this is normal.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<h2 id=\"tips\">Tips for Parents<\/h2>\n\n<ul>\n  <li><strong>Hand the device over only after launching the app.<\/strong> Smart Baby has no in-app purchases, ads, or links \u2014 but using Guided Access (above) keeps little fingers from swiping out.<\/li>\n  <li><strong>Lock the screen rotation<\/strong> if your child tends to tilt the device.
