Spatial Audio Mapper
Spatial Audio Mapper turns your room into an acoustics lab.
Place sound sources on the walls, floor, and ceiling around you — then watch their sound waves travel, bounce, and interfere in real space. It’s a hands-on way to see what you normally only hear.
⸻
HOW IT WORKS
- Scan your room. Look around so Apple Vision Pro can map your surroundings with LiDAR. A subtle wireframe appears across walls, floor, and ceiling as the geometry comes in.
- Tap to place a source. Tap any surface to drop a spatial audio emitter at that point. It immediately begins playing a tone from that exact location, anchored to the real world.
- Watch the waves. Each source emits a steady stream of glowing wave particles that travel outward at a fixed visual speed and physically bounce off the room mesh — just like sound reflecting off real surfaces.
- Find the interference. When waves from two different sources meet, a small white flash marks the cancellation node — a visual stand-in for the constructive and destructive interference patterns that shape every room’s acoustics.
- Tune everything live. Select any source to change its color or sweep its frequency from 80 Hz to 1200 Hz. The audio and the visualization update in real time.
⸻
WHO IT’S FOR
- Curious listeners who want to finally see how sound behaves in their actual living room, studio, or office.
- Audio engineers, producers, and home-studio owners exploring standing waves, reflection points, and speaker placement.
- Educators and students studying wave physics, acoustics, or spatial audio design — a tangible visualization beats a textbook diagram.
- AR & spatial computing enthusiasts who want a demo that genuinely could not exist on any other platform.
