Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to all applications developed and published by Mickey Designs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) for Apple iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, and visionOS platforms, and for Google Android devices distributed through Google Play.

Information We Collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share personal data or personally identifiable information (PII) through our apps. Our apps do not use analytics services, advertising networks, or third-party tracking SDKs.

Data Not Collected: We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, device identifiers (including advertising identifiers), usage data, crash logs, or any other personal or diagnostic information.

Tracking and Advertising Identifiers

Our apps do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising purposes.

  • Apple platforms: We do not request permission to track you under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework, because no tracking occurs.
  • Android: Our apps do not access, collect, or use the Android Advertising ID or any other persistent device identifier.

Third-Party Services

Our apps do not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection services. This includes services such as Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. If a future app version incorporates such services, we will update this policy before that version is released.

App Permissions (Android)

Our Android apps request only the permissions needed for their core features. We do not use device permissions to collect or transmit personal information.

Data Stored on Your Device

Some of our apps may save preferences, settings, or progress locally on your device using standard platform mechanisms:

  • Apple platforms: UserDefaults, local files, or iCloud CloudKit sync
  • Android: SharedPreferences, DataStore, or local app storage

This data remains under your control and is never transmitted to us.

Cloud Sync and Backup

  • iCloud: If an app uses iCloud to sync your data across your own devices, that data is governed by Apple’s iCloud Terms and Privacy Policy.
  • Google backup: On Android, your device’s system backup feature may include app settings in your personal Google account backup. That backup is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.

We do not have access to your iCloud or Google account data.

Google Play Data Safety

The Data Safety section of each of our Google Play listings states that no user data is collected or shared. This matches the practices described in this policy.

Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Several of our apps are specifically designed for children, including three language learning apps and a math learning app. These apps are built as safe, ad-free, tracking-free educational tools. No personal information is collected, stored, or transmitted from any user, including children.

Specifically, our children’s apps:

  • Do not collect names, email addresses, or any contact information
  • Do not use advertising networks or display ads of any kind
  • Do not employ analytics, behavioral tracking, or third-party SDKs
  • Do not include in-app purchases, social features, or links to external websites
  • Store no data on our servers; all learning progress is saved locally on the device only

We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We also comply with Apple’s Kids Category guidelines and Google Play’s Families Policy. We design our children’s apps to meet the elevated review standards of both stores.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CalOPPA)

We comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA). Because we do not collect personal information, there is no personal data to access, delete, or opt out of selling. California residents may contact us with any privacy inquiries.

By downloading or using our apps, you acknowledge and agree to this Privacy Policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
